    Three months later & I’m back gonna release the lifter again. My issues I’m having recently before the recent collapsing, was low Oil Pressure. Then it collapsed a week later after low oil pressure. If anyone recommends something as to why it’s marking that pls lmk I found out that I been driving for 8 months with no proper shock bolts so there extreme 2Inch bolt play on the shocks every bump I hit & I Just gave up on the suspension after changing the shocks aka mechanic! Because it drove like shit still, But Just recently I also found out my loud suspension issue was also engine mounts gone bad. So I’ve recently update mounts and spark plugs properly bolted shocks and I hope for a better suspension now because it drove like I was taking every 1Foot Man hole 🕳️ Pot hole. Gonna do an oil Change and Hope the engine runs a year at least! I’m hoping bad suspension and engine getting bounced around caused this from the start.

    Was thinking can do something like this, also the potential to use as a vacuum and a compressor. Anyways, after doing the Prius AC Compressor with my HVAC man who has all the kit, seemed to me the cheap locally Autozone sourced ND14 equivalent I used instead of ND11 was what was the most nasty of the chemicals in the system. Thanks for sharing.

    is this a 2.4 Ecotec? I see that you have the connecting rod tang or notch facing towards the exhaust side viewing the bearing, being the crank pulley is to your left. I just rebuilt a 2.4 Ecotec l4 in a 2017 Buick Verano. And I believe I have the connecting rods backwards. pistons are going in the right direction, but maybe not the connecting rods. Funny I was told they face out from a liscensed mechanic. Timimg everything is replaced but I cannot turn the engine over by hand. Is it possible that its because of backwards connecting rods?

    Take the tire to have it plugged professionally from the inside. There are specific sized combinationplug/patch sizes that are far less damaging to the tire carcass. Sure, the plugs hold ok, but the damage to the steel belt definitely shortens the service life. Happened to me. Plenty of tread but the belts failed a year after the plug went in.

    Just had my 2011 chevy ppv lifters done less then 2.years ago and today I'm getting a misfire cylinder 1 ive changed plug wire and coilpack . Is this even possible that lifter could go again?

    • @CrazedPerformanceRepair
      @CrazedPerformanceRepair 18 днів тому

      Not only is it possible, it's very likely. The problem with these systems Is that people don't know the reason they actually fail in the first place. The lifters don't fail because they're old or whatever people think. They fail because they lack oil pressure during activation. This could be caused from a huge array of things from a leaking VLOM to lower pressure because of the loose tolerances or plugged areas in the engine. The magic number is 26 psi or higher for the vehicle not to collapse a lifter. I offer multiple solutions on my website and if you have any more questions feel free to ask me there www.crazedperformancerepair.com

    THANKS for the video! learning some things. Might even use the USED trans oil - keep on hand for such flushes. Also curious if you recommend an additional oil change in between FULL ATF process and ending w full synthetic.

    • @CrazedPerformanceRepair
      @CrazedPerformanceRepair 23 дні тому

      Typically stay with conventional oil for a few oil changes. Once the ATF does whatever magic it does the stuff in the engine tends to continue to break away for a little while. So you need to do your oil changes sooner until the engine is finally cleaned up. Even after that I will occasionally throw one court of ATF in when I do an oil change. If you pay attention to your oils condition and how dirty it gets between changes you will notice once it's cleaned out it will stay cleaner longer. That's when you switch back to full synthetic.

  • @xpro808
    @xpro808 25 днів тому

    Don't you have to replace the oil pump because you won't need a high pressure oil pump since your deleting the AFM.

    • @CrazedPerformanceRepair
      @CrazedPerformanceRepair 23 дні тому

      Not necessarily, the reason the system fails in the first place is from lack of oil pressure during activation. This is often caused from a engine that is getting worn out. So there's some leakage past the bearings that that extra volume tends to get used up by. So if you put the standard volume pump in you may end up dropping your oil pressure. Besides that there's enough relief valves and the engine to take care of the extra volume. All that extra volume does is make sure your engine can survive and get you home if you do have a catastrophic failure like a main bearing. I consider the extra volume a form of insurance.

    Quacker State and Pennzoil are junk. I worked in the oil change business for 12 years and you could tell what customers used Pennzoil. If you could look into the engine from the oil fill you could see tarnish and sludge residue, even if they changed it ever 3000. On my first car I used quacker state, I was young and didn't know better. It started making a slight lifter noise as time went by and eventually it worse to the point it sounded like a diesel. These days I use nothing but synthetic valvoline oil. It keeps the internal engine clean. When I had to replace a head gasket on a car the mechanic said the engine looked clean like it was a new car.

    I have a misfire p0301 and a reactivation control performance code p1411 on my gen 3 5.7 hemi. Im guessing the solenoid for the MDS system is stuck. Last oil change I used mobil 1 full synthetic high mileage for the first time instead of the non high mileage which is the manufacturer recommened oil. Im now curious if possibly the high mileage oil gummed up the solenoid. What do you think of the additives in the high mileage oil does it cause sludge? let me know. I'm thinking of trying a partial ATF flush as it is due for an oil change now. I was going to just add a quart of ATF run it for 15 minutes and drain it and refill with fresh oil and see how it behaves. If it doesnt resolve the misfire I'll have to pull the intake and replace the solenoids I figure i may as well do them all while I'm in there.
